Full-time

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., with the possibility of staying later based on hospital needs

About You

You're an experienced veterinary assistant who takes pride in delivering compassionate patient care and creating a supportive experience for both pets and their people. You enjoy the pace of specialty medicine and bring strong skills in internal medicine support, client communication, diagnostics, treatment support, and accurate medical recordkeeping.

Your Experience & Skills

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years recent experience in veterinary practice
  • Ability to perform routine veterinary medical procedures
  • Patient care experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills
  • High school diploma or GED

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Has knowledge of basic veterinary practices
  • Experience in specialty veterinary medicine-preferably Internal Medicine
  • Able to appropriately handle animals
  • Able to assist in veterinary medical procedures
  • Recent experience in a veterinary practice
  • Willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

Role Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Provide veterinary patient care, client communication, patient intake, and discharge support.
  • Assist with anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, catheter placement, sample collection, and patient recovery.
  • Support internal medicine procedures, diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, medical math, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and support a fast-paced specialty team with calm, efficient patient care.
