North Elm Animal Hospitalin Greensboro, NC is hiring a Full-TimeExperienced Veterinary Assistant to join our full-service small animal veterinary hospital. This Veterinary Assistant roleis ideal for someone with strong clinical experience who is confident supporting exams, treatments, and surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment.

 

We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 3 years of experience who is ready to step in, support the team, and provide excellent patient care from day one.

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting.

  • Feel confident assisting with exams, treatments, diagnostics, and surgical procedures.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, technicians, and veterinarians.

What you'll do:
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting client communication.
  • Preparing patients for exams, diagnostics, and surgical procedures.
  • Administering medications as directed.
  • Assisting with laboratory testing including blood, fecal, and urine samples.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms, kennels, and surgical tools.
  • Monitoring post-operative patients and reporting changes.
  • Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures.
  • Educating pet parents on medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
  • Partnering with Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians to provide high-quality veterinary care.

Schedule

  • Full-time, Day shift
  • 5 shifts of 8 hours each, 40 hours per week
  • Rotating weekends
  • No holiday shifts required

Compensation


Starting pay for this position is $16.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, and credentials. Final pay will be determined during the hiring process.
