Twin Lakes Veterinary Hospital is a family owned, full-service veterinary practice established in the Federal Way community for over 50 years.  We are looking for additional veterinary assistants to join our amazing support staff.  Our practice just completed a total renovation creating a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility ready to continue providing our loyal community with exceptional veterinary care.  As a family owned practice, every member of our staff is treated like family.  We work as a cohesive group to provide the highest standard of care to our patients and their families.  Our support staff including our assistants is the foundation to our busy practice.Although experience is preferred, all assistant candidates are welcome.  Candidates must be able to prioritize and multi-task as well as effectively communicate among team members in a busy hospital setting.  Attention to detail is essential.  Training will be provided.Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Restocking medical supplies, medications, and pet food
  • Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment spaces, operating suites, kennels
  • Maintain and clean medical instruments and equipment
  • Restrain patients during examinations and minor procedures
  • Assist in collection of laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, tissue)
  • Walk, feed, and clean patients
Qualifications
  • Effective communication with team members and clients
  • Proficient in prioritizing and multi-tasking in busy environment
  • Physically capable of walking, holding, and restraining cats and dogs of various sizes
  • Reliable transportation
  • Basic phone and computer skills

Schedule
  • Full-time: 32-40/hr work week
  • Monday-Friday 
  • Day-time hours only
Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
