VCA Chatoak Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time, experienced Veterinary Assistant to join the team at our AAHA-accredited, full-service hospital in Granada Hills, CA.
Salary: $ 23 - $ 25 / hr. Depending on experience/credentials. Shift differential Friday - Sunday
Schedule: Full-Time, 4 PM to midnight / 5 days a week. Weekends are a must. 2 holiday shifts a year

Physical examinations and patient assessment
Anesthesia monitoring
Surgical preparation and assisting
Laboratory work
Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, IV fluid therapy
Catheter placement
Pharmacy
Patient recovery
Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals
All aspects of patient care
Animal handling and restraint
IM, IV,SQ injections
Digital radiography
Nursing care/hospitalization treatments
Client communication
