Veterinary Assistant position available at King's Mountain Animal Clinic
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our practice located in Collinsville, Virginia.
King's Mountain Animal Clinic is an established, progressive, fast paced and dedicated animal hospital with hard a working, tenured, compassionate team. Most of the team members have been a part of King's Mountain family for 16 years or more. Our support staff consists of knowledgeable and passionate technicians, assistants and client service representatives who are a valuable asset to the veterinarians. They are the backbone of the exceptional care we provide to our patients. Veterinary Assistants help us meet our goal of providing high quality veterinary medicine with a standard of care that we require for our own pets.
We have digital dental radiography, ultrasound, therapy laser, digital radiography, and in-house Idexx laboratory. We provide advanced dentistry along with an extensive variety of surgeries to our patients .

We are located in the beautiful southern Piedmont section of the state. We are only 18 miles from the North Carolina state line, 20 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 4 hours to the coast, 2 miles form a trout stream, about 15 minutes form Philpott Lake, and about 25 minutes from Fairystone State Park. We have abundant walking and hiking trails throughout the area. We are only 35 miles from Smith Mountain Lake where there is 500 miles of shoreline to explore.
Qualifications
.Must be 18yrs old or older
. Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent or squatting position.
. Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.
.If you are passionate about animals and are interested in joining a team of highly devoted animal advocates, our hospital may be the right fit for you.
Job responsibilities:
. Assist with patient care and treatment
. Monitor hospitalized pets / Monitor/aid in caring for animals after surgery
. Maintain inventory and stocking
. Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims
