VCA Desert Dunes Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant
Location: 42430 Washington St, Bermuda Dunes, CA 92203
Wage range: $17 - $19
Schedule: Part-Time, 10-hour shift
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Previous experience or training/education working in a veterinary facility preferred.
Must be friendly, outgoing, and "people-oriented."
Excellent communication skills.
Telephone and computer skills are necessary.
Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments and to accept change.
Physical Requirements:
Dependable attendance is required.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during an 8-hour day.

Physical examinations and patient assessment
Anesthesia monitoring
Surgical preparation and assisting
Dentistry
Radiology
Laboratory work
Venipuncture
Catheter placement
Pharmacy
Patient recovery
