Associate Veterinarian - Hales Corners Veterinary Clinic | Greater Milwaukee, WI - Open to 2027 New Graduates!

• Interest In: Progressive small-animal general practice in an AAHA-accredited, full-service hospital offering comprehensive wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, ultrasound, routine and advanced surgery, orthopedic surgery, laser therapy, senior medicine, pain management, and more. The hospital primarily serves dogs and cats while also offering the opportunity for exposure to pocket pets for veterinarians interested in expanding their experience beyond traditional companion-animal medicine.

You'll have the opportunity to learn alongside experienced veterinarians, gain exposure to a diverse caseload, build confidence in appointments and case management, and progressively strengthen your skills in areas like surgery and dentistry while having support around you.

Our structured, one-year New Graduate Mentorship Program is designed to help make the transition from veterinary school to clinical practice feel intentional rather than overwhelming. You'll be paired with a dedicated Clinical Mentor whose schedule intentionally overlaps with yours, providing consistent access to guidance as you build confidence and independence. Throughout the year, you'll also participate in regular mentor meetings, goal-setting workshops, and soft-skill coaching focused on client communication and professional development.

Before entering practice, you'll have opportunities to strengthen your hands-on skills through our 5-day Surgical Mentorship Program, offered year-round in a small-group environment where participants typically complete approximately 20-40 surgeries with individualized instruction. New graduates also have access to a 2-day Dental Wet Lab at our Flower Mound Dental Training Facility, led by our own veterinary dental specialist and focused on building a strong foundation in everyday dentistry.

Experienced veterinarians are absolutely encouraged to apply, too. You'll find clinical autonomy, a collaborative doctor team, advanced resources, and continued investment in your professional interests. In addition to generous CE support, you'll have access to our Clinical Tracks Program, offering complimentary RACE-approved CE facilitated by veterinary specialists within our network.

For a doctor early in their career, having other DVMs nearby provides invaluable opportunities to discuss cases, ask questions, learn different approaches to medicine, and gradually build confidence in clinical decision-making.
• Advanced Medicine + Specialist Collaboration: Hales Corners Veterinary Clinic is equipped to manage the majority of patients' medical and surgical needs directly within the hospital. When a case would benefit from additional expertise, our veterinarians can consult directly with board-certified specialists within our trusted network. This gives doctors another layer of clinical support when working through more complex cases and provides an incredible learning resource for veterinarians continuing to develop their skills.
• Build Your Surgical & Diagnostic Skills: From routine procedures to more advanced surgery and orthopedics, Hales Corners provides an environment where veterinarians can continue developing their procedural confidence. The hospital also offers ultrasound, digital radiology, in-house laboratory capabilities, dentistry, laser therapy, orthopedic care, and advanced diagnostics, giving doctors exposure to a broad spectrum of medicine without immediately referring every complex case elsewhere.
• Supportive, Experienced Technical Team: Practice alongside a compassionate and knowledgeable support staff focused on patient care, diagnostics, anesthesia and surgical support, dentistry, treatments, client education, and efficient appointment flow. Our goal is to help doctors utilize their team effectively so they can focus on practicing medicine, developing their skills, and building meaningful relationships with clients.
