Abby Pet Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian with an interest in Urgent Care and Emergency Medicine to join our growing team in Fresno, CA. Whether you're a GP veterinarian looking to expand your skillset, a UC doctor seeking a collaborative environment, or an ER veterinarian looking for a sustainable schedule, this is an opportunity to create a role that fits your professional goals.

For more than 65 years, Abby Pet Hospital has been a trusted part of the Fresno community. Today, our recently renovated, 8,000-square-foot hospital is home to a collaborative team of 10 veterinarians providing General Practice, Urgent Care, and Emergency services under one roof.

Our hybrid GP/UC/ER model provides the opportunity to see a wide variety of cases-from wellness and preventative care to same-day urgent visits and emergency presentations-while having the support, resources, and experienced team needed to practice confidently.

• Join a collaborative team of 10 experienced veterinarians with diverse backgrounds in General Practice, Urgent Care, and Emergency medicine
• Work alongside an exceptional support staff of 10 RVTs, 29 veterinary assistants, and 10 client service representatives

• Manage a diverse caseload including urgent and emergency cases in a fully supported hospital environment
• Enjoy a flexible, customizable schedule with only one Saturday per month, no Sundays, and full-time options as few as 12-15 shifts per month
• Build your skills through mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on continuing education at our PetOne Veterinary Training Center
• Interested in growing your urgent care or emergency skillset? We support doctors looking to expand their confidence with higher-acuity cases

Practice Great Medicine

Our fully equipped hospital provides the tools and resources needed to confidently manage a wide range of cases, including:

• Digital radiography, including dental
• Ultrasound
• In-house laboratory and reference lab access
• Two surgery suites
• Two dental stations
• Eight exam rooms
• Electronic medical records (Avimark)
• Comfortable break room and outdoor patio
• Opportunities for exposure to orthopedic surgery

Who We're Looking For

• A veterinarian interested in General Practice, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or a combination of all three
• A GP doctor looking to expand into urgent care/emergency cases or an experienced UC/ER doctor seeking a supportive, sustainable environment
• A doctor who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and a diverse medical caseload
• Someone looking for a flexible schedule, with full-time (3+ days/week) or part-time opportunities available
• DVM or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
• ECFVG or PAVE certification, if applicable
