Located in Greeneville, Tennessee, Tusculum provides an active and experiential education within a caring Christian environment.

Working with Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Financial Aid, the Registrar, Institutional Research, and military and veteran-serving partners, the Coordinator helps military-affiliated students succeed from recruitment and onboarding through degree completion and career preparation. This staff position coordinates access to existing services rather than assuming responsibility for academic advising, VA certification, financial aid, or other specialized functions.

    ABOUT THE POSITION:

    • Coordinate veteran-focused recruitment and referral pathways with Enrollment Management and Communications, including outreach to military installations and veteran-serving organizations; organize at least three targeted outreach engagements per semester after launch.
    • Develop veteran-specific onboarding for campus-based and online students; coordinate mentoring, Student Veterans Organization activities, at least two engagement events each semester, and programming in the veterans and military-affiliated student lounge.
    • Help students connect with appropriate offices for academic advising, tutoring, Prior Learning Assessment and military-training credit evaluation, benefits, and related support; coordinate follow-up and assist with military-culture training.
    • Collaborate with Career Services, employers, and community partners to coordinate career-awareness events, internship information, and workforce connections.
    • Support the Veteran Success Committee, annual needs assessment, VETS Campus designation, grant reporting, student-outcome tracking, and approved program expenditures; build relationships with partners such as NETVETS Group, VFW Post 1990, Marine Corps League Detachment #615, and the USS Greeneville scholarship network.

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered. Experience in student support, military/veteran services, higher education recruitment, community outreach, or program coordination is preferred. Familiarity with military culture, VA educational benefits, military-training credit, and veteran-serving organizations is helpful; military service is not required. Candidates should have strong relationship-building and communication skills, the ability to coordinate outreach and events, maintain accurate records, use spreadsheets and student information systems, and follow through on measurable goals.

    TUSCULUM'S MISSION:
