U.S. Waffle Company, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Vertical Wrapper Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining vertical packaging equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality finished products.The ideal candidate will monitor production lines, troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and work closely with team members to meet daily production goals. This role plays a critical part in maintaining food safety and quality standards, including compliance with SQF, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate vertical wrapping machines according to product specifications
- Adjust machine settings (film size, tension, tube size, etc.) to ensure proper operation
- Monitor production lines and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment
- Assist with changeovers, including moving materials and equipment
- Inspect products and packaging to ensure quality standards are met
- Communicate effectively with Production Leads and team members
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
- Reduce waste and report any product or equipment issues
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (SQF, GMP, HACCP)
- Support team goals and contribute to a positive work environment
Qualifications & Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
- Basic math and mechanical skills required
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and solve problems independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Good communication skills; bilingual is a plus
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift 50–70 lbs regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Ability to work in hot, cold, and dusty environments
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
