Pay Range: $40 - $43/hour. Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.)Key Responsibilities:- Lead and/or support vendor qualification and capability assessment activities for external vendors supporting global R&D and clinical development programs.
- Conduct and coordinate Requests for Information (RFI) and vendor assessment activities.
- Support vendor sourcing, contracting, procurement, and category management initiatives.
- Evaluate vendor capabilities, quality systems, documentation, compliance, operational readiness, and associated risks.
- Conduct or coordinate Data Privacy and Security / IT assessments.
- Support Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) due diligence.
- Support financial health assessments and vendor risk assessments.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate vendor performance, capabilities, risks, and compliance.
- Support inspection readiness and audit preparation activities, including documentation and evidence collection.
- Analyze vendor and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Perform benchmarking and data analysis to develop data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Develop and deliver presentations, training materials, reports, and stakeholder communications.
- Support vendor qualification strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects and competing priorities with minimal supervision.
- Maintain accurate vendor documentation and ensure activities are completed in accordance with applicable company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Partner effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve issues and drive timely completion of deliverables.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a relevant discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical research, healthcare, or a closely related regulated industry.
- Strong project management experience, preferably within pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, clinical research, or healthcare environments.
- Experience with vendor management, vendor qualification, vendor assessment, supplier management, vendor oversight, CRO management, outsourcing, sourcing, procurement, or external partner management.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Quality, Compliance, Clinical Operations, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Business Conduct, and/or Vendor Management.
- Strong understanding of applicable GxP and clinical research requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong presentation, stakeholder-management, and relationship-management skills.
- Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders and external vendors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with clinical vendor outsourcing or CRO management.
- Experience supporting RFI/RFP, vendor selection, due diligence, contracting, or sourcing.
- Experience with vendor risk assessments and performance management.
- Experience supporting inspection or audit readiness.
- Experience with procurement or category management.
- Experience working directly with external clinical research vendors.
- Experience with global clinical development programs.
