Snelling Staffing is recruiting for a Vehicle Transport Technician II for a local government entity. This is a part-time, for dependable individuals with a strong driving record and the ability to safely transport vehicles and equipment between multiple locations. The pay rate is $22-$24/hr.
The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, demonstrate professionalism, and possess the skills necessary to operate a variety of vehicles, including trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities
- Transport vehicles, trucks, and trailers between facilities and vendor locations as directed
- Ensure safe, timely, and professional delivery of vehicles
- Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and vehicle mileage
- Follow all applicable safety regulations and operating procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding schedules and transportation needs
- Represent the organization professionally while operating vehicles and interacting with vendors
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles, including trucks and trailers
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and safe driving practices
License Requirements
- Positions are available for drivers holding either:
- Class B Exempt Driver's License
- Class C Driver's License
- Previous experience transporting vehicles, trucks, or equipment is preferred
Schedule
This is a part-time position working a rotating schedule:
- Week 1: Three days per week
- Week 2: Two days per week
- Week 3: Three days per week
- Rotation continues throughout employment
