Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Vehicle Integration Validation Engineer - Autonomous Vehicle for a Contract to Hire with a client in Mount Vernon, WA. This role focuses on autonomous vehicle validation, ensuring software, controls, and vehicle systems perform safely and meet program objectives.

Rate Range: $45/Hour to $70/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Vehicle Integration Validation Engineer - Autonomous Vehicle Responsibilities include:

  • Lead validation activities for autonomous vehicle control systems, serving as the subject matter expert for vehicle controls testing and software validation.

  • Develop and execute System Acceptance Test (SAT) plans and property validation tests to ensure vehicle functionality, performance, and reliability.

  • Conduct hands-on vehicle testing, including setup, instrumentation verification, software checks, and data collection.

  • Analyze test data, identify system issues, troubleshoot causes, and provide technical recommendations to engineering teams.

  • Manage validation projects by planning schedules, coordinating resources, tracking progress, and ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and company divisions, documenting results and presenting findings through technical reports and stakeholder updates.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 7+ years of automotive/truck industry experience and 1+ year of Functional Safety testing or development experience preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with vehicle software validation, controls systems, CAN/J1939 communication protocols, and validation tools such as Vector CANalyzer, ATI Vision, DAVIE 4, Bendix ACOM, or Eaton Service Ranger.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute vehicle validation test plans, analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams supporting ADAS, autonomous vehicle, or powertrain systems.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $70.00 per hour
