    Description

    Our client, Advanced Automotive Technology is seeking a Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Engineer to join their team. As a Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Dynamics Digital Development team supporting Advanced Vehicle Programs. The ideal candidate will have strong cross-functional collaboration, a self-directed mindset, and the ability to manage multiple complex assignments simultaneously, which will align successfully in the organization.

    Job Title: Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Engineer

    Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (Onsite)

    What's the Job?

    • Execute and update the Virtual workplan to support Advanced Vehicle Programs targeting Ride, Handling, and Steering performance.
    • Build and correlate vehicle dynamics models to satisfy workplans, including recommending countermeasures supported by Virtual Validation with correlated models.
    • Perform off-line simulation assessments and support vehicle tuning through appropriate HIL/SIL integration as needed.
    • Prioritize workload to balance internal deliverables with the needs of the vehicle and the program.
    • Represent Digital Vehicle Dynamics in technical discussions with interfacing teams and participate in global process development activities.

    What's Needed?

    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related degree.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in vehicle dynamics or chassis design.
    • 1 year of experience in Multi Body Simulation (preferably ADAMS Car).
    • Strong understanding of vehicle ride, handling, and steering with associated metrics, plus experience with tire models.
    • Familiarity with chassis subsystems and components (e.g., suspension kinematics/compliance, tires, springs, shocks, steering/braking systems) and strong written and oral communication skills.

    • Strengthen your simulation and integration experience through off-line assessments and HIL/SIL support as needed.
    • Develop and apply process improvements by participating in global process development activities.
