Make Ready Vehicle Detailer
Job Summary:
The Make Ready Specialist plays a key support role in ensuring dealership vehicles are prepared, presentable, and ready for customer delivery. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including cleaning and detailing vehicles, transporting vehicles between lots or service areas, fueling vehicles, and assisting with general dealership needs. The Make Ready Specialist is a flexible “jack of all trades” who helps maintain smooth dealership operations by jumping in wherever needed to support the sales and service teams.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Knowledge in exterior and interior cleaning.
- Knowledge in stain removal.
- Maintaining a supply of cleaning products and tools, ordering new supplies as needed.
- Transporting vehicles to and from lots, service, gas stations, or other dealership locations.
- Assisting with lot organization and vehicle placement.
- Ensuring vehicles are fueled and ready for customer delivery or test drives.
- Supporting general dealership tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent bending, stopping, twisting, and kneeling.
- Must be able to safely operate dealership vehicles, including standard and automatic transmissions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
