As a member of Tesla Vehicle Controls team you will play a pivotal role in defining how customers interact with our vehicles. You will design simulate and help implement and calibrate control and estimation algorithms for mechatronic systems such as doors liftgate windows and powertrain motors.

Research design simulate implement debug calibrate and test control estimation and monitoring algorithms for various electro-mechanical systems in the vehicle body and powertrain

Work collaboratively with responsible Electrical Mechanical and Firmware Engineers to define actuation sensing requirements establish control system capabilities and set targets

Advance the state of the art in control systems deployed in Tesla vehicles

Excellent background in linear systems analysis motion planning state and parameter estimation and controller design

Solid experience and deep understanding of the physics of mechatronic systems and servomechanisms

Creating dynamic models of electrical and mechanical systems

Model development and data analysis using MatlabSimulink and Python

Experience with designing and implementing machine learning models

Basic proficiency with embedded software development in CC

Strong communication skills and preference for working in a collaborative environment

Two or more years of experience with control system development modeling and implementation in an embedded environment

Degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechatronics Robotics or equivalent experience

Expected Compensation

140000 - 360000annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
