BlueWave is hiring a VDC Specialist for an engineering and manufacturing client based in Austin, Texas. As a VDC Specialist, you will lead clash detection and model coordination for assigned facility areas and project scopes. You will help integrate existing utilities with new infrastructure and support coordinated, constructible designs throughout design, construction, and commissioning.
Perform clash detection analysis across multidisciplinary design models.
Coordinate existing utilities with new infrastructure designs.
Identify and resolve spatial and system conflicts within models.
Ensure utilities, infrastructure, and facility support systems are properly integrated.
Support design teams by maintaining aligned and constructible models.
Independently manage coordination activities for assigned facility areas and project scopes.
Collaborate with BIM engineers and cross-functional design and construction teams.
Support project deliverables associated with facility expansions and upgrades.
Contribute to coordinated VDC models throughout design, construction, and commissioning.
At least two years of experience using Navisworks or Revizto.
Hands-on experience with clash detection and model coordination.
Working knowledge of Revit.
Experience working with BIM/VDC models in multidisciplinary environments.
Ability to coordinate multiple design models and resolve conflicts.
Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360 preferred.
Exposure to laser scanning or reality-capture workflows is a plus.
Ability to work independently in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Full-Time, six-month contract-to-hire position onsite in Austin, Texas. Standard working hours are 9:00 a.m.6:00 p.m., approximately 4550 hours per week.
