Day- 10 Hour (United States of America)Job Summary
The Vascular Access Registered Nurse (RN) provides consultation and treatment for placement of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC), midline catheters, and ultrasound guided peripheral IVs, practicing in an evidence-based manner, within the Scope of Practice of the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory requirements, standards of care, and hospital policies. The Vascular Access RN performs the appropriate steps in providing consultation and assessment of the patient in placement of specialized IV accesses to include: assessing the patient, interpreting applicable data, providing requested treatment, and collaborating with the patient, nursing staff, and provider. Additionally, the Vascular Access RN coordinates care with other providers and acts as a teacher to the patient and family to provide the knowledge and skills needed to manage their central lines and prevent associated complications.
The vascular access RN is responsible for assessing and inserting the appropriate vascular access for patients who are unable to maintain a peripheral IV (PIV) or require long-term therapy not accomplished by a PIV.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $71.47 - $95.30 per hourThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
