Our Lady of Mount Carmel invites applications for the position of Varsity Boys Soccer Head Coach for the 2026–2027 academic year. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic leader who is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and school pride.
 

Essential Functions

  • Plan, organize, and conduct all team practices, training sessions, and games.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote individual player growth and team success.
  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and faith-filled team culture.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and student-athletes.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, school administration, and athletic staff.
  • Coordinate game preparation, scheduling needs, equipment, and team logistics.
  • Promote academic achievement, sportsmanship, and character development among athletes.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
  • Maintain compliance with school and league policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned, in support of the athletic program.

Position Qualifications

  • Previous soccer coaching experience preferred, ideally at the high school level.
  • Knowledge of soccer fundamentals, player development, and game strategy.
  • Experience working with high school students.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to developing teamwork, accountability, and character within the program.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Pay Range:  Stipend - $2,000 - $4,000

Benefits:  This is not a benefit eligible position.
