Vane Pocket Spot-Welding Specialist

Join Peerless Separation & Filtration, part of CECO Environmental, where we deliver specialized water solutions that safeguard people, assets, and the environment. In this role, you’ll assemble dryer panel vane units by spot-welding vane pockets to vane bodies—work that keeps global industrial operations running cleanly and reliably.

What You’ll Tackle

• Master job training—initial onboarding through ongoing programs in lean manufacturing and role-specific skills.
• Meet or exceed Engineering Documentation note requirements for your position.
• Translate fabrication drawings/work orders into action: allocate materials, program machines, and stage setups.
• Dial in stops/guides, secure workpieces, choose correct tip sizes with pneumatic/filing tools to maintain tight tolerances.
• Swap dyes, stamps, and jigs to blueprint specs; execute spot-welds; perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Verify quality—measure pocket gaps, review allowable variances, and conduct shear tests for weld integrity.
• Raise the flag on sub-standard inputs and uphold top-tier quality throughout.
• Champion safety: follow OSHA and company protocols, support a “zero accidents” culture, and wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots).
• Manage your time, documentation, and deadlines with accuracy and clarity.
• Communicate daily production reports and updates suited to the audience.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and relevant legal/regulatory requirements.
• Take on related tasks as assigned.

Bring Your Background

• High school diploma or equivalent experience that enables success in the listed duties.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety practices and regulations.

It Helps If You Also Have

• 2+ years in manufacturing.
• Comfort reading measurements and using a tape measure.

Positions in this function typically require: Standing and walking for long periods, often throughout an entire shift. Frequent Bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Reaching with hands and arms and using common hand tools or warehouse equipment. Regularly lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects typically up to 50 pounds, and occasionally heavier items.

· The job is usually performed in a warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures.

· Must be alert to warehouse hazards, such as forklift traffic and stacked products.
