What You’ll Do
- Inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of valves (control, safety, relief, gate, globe, check, ball, butterfly, plug) and actuators (pneumatic, hydraulic, electric).
- Perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of valves and process instrumentation.
- Complete full repair cycle: pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, machining, lapping, painting, assembly, and final inspection.
- Document all repair activities, including cause of failure and parts used.
- Provide technical support and communicate with customers on-site and in-shop.
- Adhere to National Board VR/UV program guidelines and site-specific safety requirements.
- Operate repair equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, sandblasters, and power tools.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 1–3 years in valve, pump, or actuator repair (or equivalent training). Welding and machining skills are a plus.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, time management, and teamwork.
- Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and insurability.
- Ability to lift up to 44 lbs and work in varied conditions (heat, cold, clean rooms).
- Comfortable with off-hours, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Knowledge of rigging and moving heavy equipment.
