POSITION SUMMARY
The Value Stream Team Leader leads daily operations for one or more plant value streams, partnering with the Value Stream Manager to deploy the Parker Lean System and Win Strategy. Create a safe, high-performing work environment that advances quality, on-time delivery, and premier customer service. Develop and coach a skilled workforce while driving continuous improvement to reduce cost, inventory, and lead time, ensuring performance meets daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
3- 5 years' management or supervisory experience.
Sufficient background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management and inventory control.
Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills. Ability to assess and develop individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for challenges. Serve as model by promoting safety, new ideas and positive change.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with LEAN teams or leading LEAN teams is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results by meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change to technical and non-technical audiences
Involved with or lead a team in LEAN process improvements/implementation preferred
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and make sound recommendations
