Operational Leadership

Lead daily operations across the assigned value stream to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets. Align staffing, resources, and production capacity with customer demand and business priorities. Ensure successful execution of production schedules and operational plans. Identify manufacturing constraints and implement solutions that improve throughput, efficiency, and workflow. Drive operational performance through effective planning, communication, and leadership.

People Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop Supervisors and frontline manufacturing teams. Build a culture centred on accountability, engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Develop leadership capability and succession plans within the value stream. Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards. Foster a positive work environment focused on employee growth and performance.

Continuous Improvement

Champion Lean Manufacturing principles and operational excellence initiatives. Utilise KPIs and operational metrics to identify waste and improvement opportunities. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other departments to improve business performance. Lead projects focused on productivity improvements, cost reduction, quality enhancement, and process optimisation.

Business Performance

Own and drive key operational metrics including: Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, Productivity, Cost Control, Inventory Management, Employee Engagement. Develop action plans to address performance gaps and achieve business objectives. Ensure consistent execution and accountability throughout the value stream.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred. Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience. Proven experience leading supervisors and manufacturing teams within a production environment. Previous experience in aerospace, defence, industrial manufacturing, or another regulated industry is highly desirable. Demonstrated success improving operational performance and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence practices. Experience managing production schedules, workforce planning, resource allocation, and capacity management. Excellent leadership, coaching, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence teams at all levels. Results-driven mindset with experience managing KPI performance and achieving business objectives.
