As a Value Realization Analyst, you will help ensure PetIQ's transformation and technology investments deliver meaningful business value. You will evaluate opportunities, develop business cases, establish performance baselines, validate realized outcomes, and provide objective recommendations that improve enterprise decision-making. Working across Business Transformation, Digital Platforms, Finance, Technology, and business teams, you will help create a culture of accountability where investments are measured by the business value they generate rather than the work they complete.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Business Value: Assess transformation opportunities and initiatives to determine their expected business value, strategic alignment, risks, and likelihood of success.
  • Create Evidence-Based Business Cases: Partner with business leaders, Finance, and transformation teams to develop business cases grounded in measurable outcomes, assumptions, risks, and expected benefits.
  • Establish Meaningful Baselines: Define current-state performance measures and business metrics that enable future improvements to be objectively measured and validated.
  • Improve Portfolio Discipline: Support prioritization and investment decisions by applying consistent evaluation methods and helping ensure resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities.
  • Validate Value Before Investment: Challenge assumptions, evaluate risks, and assess confidence levels before transformation capacity and funding are committed.
  • Measure and Validate Realized Value: Compare actual results against expected outcomes and establish mechanisms to verify, communicate, and improve realized business value.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

  • Evaluate Opportunities and Investments: Facilitate opportunity assessments by identifying expected outcomes, value drivers, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Develop and Maintain Business Cases: Build, refine, and govern business cases that quantify expected benefits and support investment and prioritization decisions.
  • Measure and Validate Results: Track operational, financial, productivity, customer, and adoption outcomes to determine whether expected value was achieved.
  • Develop Portfolio Reporting and Insights: Create scorecards, dashboards, and executive reporting that provide visibility into portfolio performance, expected benefits, and realized value.
  • Provide Objective Recommendations: Present data-driven analyses that help leaders determine whether initiatives should be approved, adjusted, expanded, scaled, or discontinued.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, data analysis, operations analysis, business consulting, portfolio management, product management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience evaluating business opportunities and making recommendations using quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience working with business metrics, performance indicators, operational measurements, or financial data.
