Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Validation Engineer II for a Contract with a client in Carlsbad, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for leading validation and qualification activities, evaluating results, managing lifecycle documentation, and ensuring GMP compliance across manufacturing and laboratory systems.

Rate Range: $45/Hour to $50/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Validation Engineer II Job Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute validation strategies for GMP facilities, utilities, manufacturing equipment, and laboratory systems.

  • Author and manage validation lifecycle documentation, including VMPs, URS, RTMs, risk assessments, and IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.

  • Lead commissioning, qualification, and process validation activities to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

  • Evaluate validation results, investigate deviations, implement corrective actions, and prepare final validation reports.

  • Support change control assessments and maintain the validated state of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders while providing validation status updates and recommendations during project reviews.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related technical field; master's degree preferred.

  • 2-3+ years of experience in validation, qualification, or quality engineering within a GMP-regulated environment.

  • Must have hands-on experience independently developing and executing validation lifecycle documents, including VMPs, URS, RTMs, risk assessments, and IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.

  • Experience qualifying GMP manufacturing equipment, utilities, analytical instrumentation, or biotechnology/oligonucleotide manufacturing systems, with the ability to lead validation activities from commissioning through release.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
