Validation Engineer

Job Description

The Equipment Validation Engineer will support equipment validation activities, author and execute validation documentation, assist with change control processes, and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure compliance with GMP requirements. This position offers a blend of office-based technical documentation work and hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support equipment validation activities for manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Author, revise, and maintain validation protocols and documentation.
  • Execute validation activities and ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Support change control processes related to equipment modifications and maintenance.
  • Update and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and operational procedures.
  • Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams during equipment installations and modifications.
  • Provide validation support for equipment changes and system improvements.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP regulations and validation standards.
  • Participate in investigations, risk assessments, and documentation reviews as required.
  • Monitor critical process parameters (CPPs) and critical quality attributes (CQAs) related to validated processes.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge in validation, validation protocols, process validation, and validation testing.
  • Experience with equipment validation, CPP, CQA, risk assessment, SOP, and work instruction.
  • Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field OR equivalent pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
  • 0-2 years of professional experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn in a regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with GMP, pharmaceutical, and engineering technical documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with GMP regulations, validation, or quality systems.
  • Experience authoring technical documentation or procedures.
  • Exposure to process improvement initiatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $40.87/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
