    Job Summary:
    Our Law Clerks work alongside our attorneys and case managers to perform substantial legal and medical research and writing. This role involves reviewing clients’ electronic files and case histories, identifying pertinent medical and legal information, and addressing any potential issues. The Law Clerk will communicate with clients, medical facilities, and other government entities as needed to ensure a complete and thorough case file. This position entails extensive record review and document drafting, including nexus letters, Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs), briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal content.

    This position offers independence, flexibility to accommodate personal work styles, and responsibility over case files. It is a full-time role offering competitive pay, BCBS benefits, PTO, and the opportunity for remote work.



    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review documents, including medical records, service treatment records, military reports, and other correspondence.
    • Conduct legal and medical research to support case development and strategy.
    • Communicate with case managers and attorneys regarding any relevant case issues.
    • Draft case file summaries, briefs, nexus letters, DBQs, and other legal content for attorney review.
    • Maintain departmental goals and ensure all assigned tasks are up to date.



    Key Skills & Qualifications:

    • Strong legal research and writing skills.
    • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
    • Problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software.
    • Prior experience in legal research, writing, or veterans' benefits law is a plus.
