    Description

Do you believe great design is how technology make sense? Are you energized by a studio where UX design is the thread that ties everything together? Interested in creating a single visual system carries across video, animation, interactive 3D, and the knowledge articles people actually read, and where the design decisions you make are tested against real user data?

We are looking for an UX Designer to join Ops Tech Solutions (OTS) ACES team supporting the IT For Me high-output creative studio in Nashville, TN. IT For Me makes technology easier to understand and solutions easier to find. We do it with a deliberate visual framework, a consistent style and interaction pattern that carries across every medium we deliver: from self-service tech videos to interactive 3D hardware guides, redesigned knowledge-base articles, and live events. Our work is not decoration. We design how information is received, measure whether it lands, and iterate to improve it.

This is an experienced UX role on the team. You will own the steady, high-volume work that keeps the studio moving, and you will do it as a designer producing within our visual framework, redesigning knowledge content so it is clearer and easier to use, and helping gather the feedback and usage data that tells us what is working. All while collaborating with senior designers on the most complex, high-end builds. The through-line in everything you make is the IT For Me design system, and your job is to apply it, keep it consistent, and help it improve.

If you are strong creative in the visual design space, curious about how users respond to what you make, organized enough to run a studio, and eager to be challenged within systems-level UX work, motion, and 3D, we want to meet you.

    Key job responsibilities

You will own the foundational, high-frequency design and production work that keeps OTS ACES delivering at pace, and you will grow the UX craft by:

    • Apply the design system consistently across every deliverable (lower thirds, titles, intros, thumbnails, article layouts, and graphics) so the experience is coherent whatever the medium.
    • Partner with senior designers and technical stakeholders to take briefs from intake to delivery, articulate the reasoning behind a design choice, and keep SIM tickets and worklogs current.
    • Helping gather and interpret design feedback and usage data: article view and deflection metrics, A/B comparisons, and user or stakeholder feedback, then use what you learn to refine the work and inform the next iteration.
    • Build supporting motion and graphic assets in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and contribute to interactive 3D hardware guides, growing into more advanced motion and 3D work over time.
    • Own studio equipment and inventory: track, maintain, and stage cameras, lenses, lighting, audio gear, and accessories so the kit is always shoot-ready, and flag repairs or purchasing needs.
    • Produce and edit the studio's steady-state video content, including interview videos, leadership and PR-style announcement videos, edited in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

    A day in the life

The OTS ACES day is varied and driven by our customers. UX design here is a full loop, not a hand-off. We study how our content is received, through usage data, A/B studies, and direct feedback, and we use that evidence to improve the design and to explain to stakeholders why a given approach works.

You might start working within a knowledge article within our framework and checking last week's view and deflection numbers to see how a recent redesign is performing, spend the rest of the day in the studio running cameras and audio for a shoot.

    About the team

IT For Me is the UX and creative studio within OTS ACES. We produce high-quality, visual-driven content that makes tech easier to understand and solutions easier to find across video, animation, interactive 3D hardware guides, knowledge-base articles, and live events. What ties it all together is a single, deliberate design system: one visual language and interaction pattern, delivered across many mediums. We design with evidence, measuring how our work is received and iterating on it, while insisting on high standards and moving fast with care about the work that reflects our culture of innovation, inclusion, and excellence.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
