    Description

The Product & Design Group (PDG) is looking for a Product Designer who operates as an AI-native design builder - someone who uses AI tools to accelerate from concept to production while providing the design judgment AI cannot self-assess. This role sits inside our RBKS portfolio (Ring, Blink, Key, Sidewalk) and can align to any of our core pillars: Access Control, Enterprise platforms, Delivery Experience, and connected device ecosystems.

You"ll own design for high-impact touchpoints across customers, operators, and partners - the surfaces where people set up and control connected devices, manage access to their homes and properties, coordinate deliveries, and rely on the ecosystem to work every day. Your work will directly shape how millions of people engage with RBKS.

This role is part of a foundational shift in how the design function operates inside a builder model. You"ll work within AI-native workflows, using tools like Cursor, Kiro, Figma, Claude Code, and agentic AI to generate, iterate, and ship at speed. The differentiator is your ability to evaluate AI output for flow coherence, information architecture integrity, and experiential quality. You"ll also contribute to systemic design quality - creating steering documents, layout templates, and prompt libraries, and agents that raise the quality floor across Builder workflows organization-wide.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Contribute design for high-impact customer, operator, and partner experiences across the surfaces where people set up and control connected devices, manage access, coordinate deliveries, or run the ecosystem at scale

    • Use AI-native design workflows, leveraging tools like Cursor, Figma AI, Claude Code, and agentic AI to accelerate from concept to prototype to production

    • Provide design judgment at scale, evaluating AI-generated output for flow coherence, information architecture integrity, and experiential quality that AI cannot self-assess

    • Contribute to systemic design quality, creating steering documents, layout templates, and prompt libraries that raise the quality floor across Builder workflows

    • Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate business objectives into customer-centered design solutions

    • Use data to identify opportunities, validate decisions, and measure the impact of design changes on the outcomes that matter for your team - activation, retention, engagement, task completion, or operational efficiency

    • Build scalable design patterns that extend across the RBKS ecosystem as the AI-native design practice matures

    A day in the life

You review design explorations, evaluating which concepts land the UX and which need rethinking. You present regularly in UX leadership reviews, join frequent peer critique, and iterate hands-on in your IDE and design tools - pushing prototypes to engineering and catching subtle issues AI misses. You maintain steering documents and prompt libraries that hold the quality floor for other builders. You own the cross-functional mechanisms that keep product, engineering, GTM, and data science in step on scope and progress. Your customers are the millions across RBKS who rely on our connected experiences every day.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
