The University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks outstanding candidates for multiple faculty positions within the Division of General, Geriatric, and Palliative Medicine. These positions support UVA Healths continued expansion of primary care services and offer the opportunity to join a collaborative academic practice committed to excellence in patient care, medical education, and professional development.
Successful candidates will provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care at one of UVA Healths established outpatient practices in Charlottesville or Orange, Virginia. Current practice locations include:
Faculty responsibilities will primarily consist of outpatient clinical care. Depending upon the candidates interests, experience, and the needs of the Division, responsibilities may also include:
The selected candidates will be appointed at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on a tenure-eligible, tenured, or non-tenure-eligible track, as appropriate. Faculty rank, track, and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and academic accomplishments.
The Division of General, Geriatric, and Palliative Medicine is part of the University of Virginia Department of Medicine and supports a broad portfolio of clinical, educational, scholarly, and community-focused programs. Faculty work within a collegial and interdisciplinary environment and have opportunities to collaborate across the Department of Medicine, UVA School of Medicine, and UVA Health.
