UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT NURSE

Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Utilization Management Nurse will be responsible for ensuring that LIFE Pittsburgh Participants are receiving timely and effective treatments consistent with their advanced directive and goals of care while receiving care inpatient at the hospital and or a nursing facility. Collaborates with the IDT to assess, plan, implement inpatient care plans and will safeguard against unnecessary and inappropriate medical care. Works closely with physicians to coordinate discharge plans as well as inpatient stay movement to the most appropriate level of care. Must have valid PA Registered Nurse License, Bachelors of Science in Nursing (MSN Preferred), 1-3 years of acute care experience with geriatric patients, drivers license/access to a vehicle and demonstrated experience with extensive clinical/acute situations in a variety of health care settings.  Certification from the Commission for Case Management (CCMC) or National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).  SALARY REQUIREMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH RESUME FOR CONSIDERATION.
