UTILITY WORKER

SALARY $38,920.00 ANNUALLY

Job Functions:

• Performing a wide range of duties associated with cleaning parks, cutting and clearing weeds and brush.
• Use various hand tools to dig, sweep and spread.
• Drives various light equipment such as pickup trucks, one ton single-axle dump trucks and farm tractors.
• Cleans and maintains tools, equipment, materials and work areas.
• Loads and unloads supplies tools and equipment.
• Will perform physical work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Assists in setup and break sown of special events.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Education and Training:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Plus three to six months experience performing manual labor.
• Must have experience operating small tractors, lawnmowers, light trucks and other maintenance equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand operation manuals.
• Knowledge of standard safety practices.
• Skill in use of basic tools and mowing equipment.
• Ability to follow oral/written instructions.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers.

Special Requirements:

• Must be able to drive and have a valid Class "D" driver's license and to remain valid as a condition of continued employment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a background and driver's license check, and physical examination, including a drug screen.
