Position Summary:
The Utility Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of facility utility systems including water, gas, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. This role ensures all systems operate efficiently and safely to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on utility systems.
  • Diagnose and repair issues in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other utility infrastructure.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and system status.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to support facility operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in utility or facility maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred for certain roles.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Work Environment:
  • Indoor and outdoor work in varying conditions.

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
