Compensation & Schedule

Pay:

$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Overtime is

not part of the normal schedule

, but may occur occasionally when needed

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Utility Technician to support the upkeep of our rental fleet and facilities. This role focuses on maintaining trailers, containers, and general yard operations to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and ready for rent. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and able to respond effectively when urgent repair needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform general repairs and maintenance on rental assets including trailers, containers, and light equipment

+ Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and rent-ready

+ Complete basic electrical repairs such as lighting, wiring, and trailer components

+ Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems (including units in office spaces or containers, if applicable)

+ Perform minor structural and hardware repairs on containers and trailers

+ Handle general facility maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, and painting

+ Assist with yard organization, cleanliness, and equipment staging

+ Identify damage or wear and repair or report issues as needed

+ Respond to urgent repair needs to minimize downtime when issues arise

+ Maintain tools, parts inventory, and shop organization

+ Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Required Skills and Qualifications

+ Proven experience in maintenance, handyman work, or equipment repair

+ Knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC systems

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

+ Basic understanding of trailer systems and related components

+ Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools

+ Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions

+ Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

+ Able to perform physical work, including lifting and moving equipment

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience working in a rental yard, construction, or industrial environment

+ Forklift operation experience (or willingness to be trained)

+ Familiarity with trailers, containers, or similar equipment

Work Environment

+ Combination of indoor shop work and outdoor yard work

+ Exposure to weather, dust, noise, and equipment

+ Physical work includes lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

+ Generally steady workflow with occasional urgent repair needs
