Utility Field Coordinator

Company Overview

A. Servidone Inc. is a lead contractor on CNY Alliance Six, the team delivering the I-81 Viaduct Project Phase 2, Contract 6 in Syracuse, New York. This is a large, active heavy civil infrastructure project with significant coordination demands across field operations, utility stakeholders, subcontractors, and project leadership. We are adding a Utility Field Coordinator to help keep utility-related work organized, visible, and aligned with project execution.

The Opportunity

This role is well suited for someone who understands that utility coordination can directly affect schedule, field productivity, and overall project performance. You will help manage one of the most coordination-sensitive parts of a major infrastructure job by supporting day-to-day field execution, tracking open issues, and keeping key stakeholders informed. For the right person, this is a chance to take on meaningful responsibility on a high-profile heavy civil project and become a trusted resource in the field.

What You'll Do

  • Support field coordination for utility-related work, including relocations, conflicts, protection, access, shutdown planning, and utility interface issues.
  • Work closely with project managers, field leadership, engineers, subcontractors, and outside utility representatives to keep utility-related activities organized and moving.
  • Track utility conflicts, open items, relocations, shutdowns, and upcoming coordination needs so the project team has clear visibility into current status and potential risks.
  • Maintain logs, meeting notes, correspondence, and status updates related to utility coordination and field follow-up.
  • Assist with planning and communication around utility-related field activities to improve sequencing and reduce avoidable delays.
  • Follow up on action items, identify missing information, and help move utility coordination issues toward resolution.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 6 to 12 months, success in this role will include:

  • Establishing a reliable process for tracking utility-related open items, field issues, and coordination needs.
  • Improving day-to-day visibility into utility conflicts, relocation status, and stakeholder follow-up.
  • Helping the project team identify utility-related risks earlier and reduce avoidable schedule impacts.
  • Becoming a dependable point of contact for utility-related field coordination, documentation, and follow-through.
  • Supporting smoother field execution by keeping utility communication, tracking, and issue resolution organized and responsive.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a field-driven construction environment. Strong candidates will typically bring:

  • Experience in utility coordination, field coordination, project engineering, construction operations, or a similar role on civil or infrastructure work.
  • Working knowledge of utility-related field issues such as relocations, conflicts, access, shutdown planning, and coordination with outside parties.
  • The ability to manage multiple moving parts, maintain accurate records, and consistently follow through on open items.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with field teams, project leadership, subcontractors, and utility representatives.
  • A practical, detail-oriented approach and the judgment to raise issues before they affect production.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience on heavy civil, highway, bridge, transportation, or other infrastructure projects.
  • Experience coordinating utility-related documentation, logs, and meeting follow-up.
  • Experience supporting utility relocations or field conflict resolution on active construction projects.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling, field reporting, or construction tracking tools.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $95,000 to $125,000. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), bonus opportunity, and a company vehicle or vehicle allowance.
