Join a Transmission & Substation Reliability Programs team responsible for planning, governance, oversight, and performance management of reliability and resiliency investments across transmission, substation, relay/protection, and related utility assets. The Program/Project Manager will lead utility grid investment initiatives, integrating engineering analysis, asset condition, operational priorities, financial constraints, and risk assessments to support portfolio decisions.
Program/Project Manager Responsibilities
- Develop project scope, schedules, budgets, and execution plans for utility grid investments.
- Lead projects involving substation modernization, transmission assets, relay protection, communications upgrades, transformer replacement, and asset renewal.
- Evaluate engineering data, asset condition, regulatory requirements, system risk, and financial considerations.
- Manage project execution, track KPIs, and provide regular performance reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering and investment-management stakeholders to improve grid reliability and resiliency.
Program/Project Manager Qualifications
- 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering required.
- Engineering background and electric utility experience required.
- Strong program/project management, organization, and communication skills.
- Experience with Asset Suite, Cascade, PSCAD, advanced Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Knowledge of Apollo or comparable project/portfolio tools.
Program/Project Manager Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification preferred.
- Experience supporting transmission and substation investment programs.
This Program/Project Manager position is specifically focused on engineering and electric utility programs; IT-only program/project management backgrounds are not a fit. Interviews will be conducted virtually.
