JOB SUMMARYThe Utilities Manager provides supervision, leadership, planning, managing and the coordination of the activities of the Water Distribution, Water Production, Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment, and Collection Systems. Responsibilities include daily management of the Backflow Prevention Program, Water Conservation Program, and Sanitary Sewer Overflow Program and provide technical advice on all types of Utility projects. QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience:Must have a minimum of 3 years of budgetary experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial position. Minimum 10 years of experience working with or in Public Works projects.Special Requirements:Must possess a valid Texas Class "C" driver's license or higher. Must possess a valid Class "B" Water and Class "III" Wastewater license issued by TCEQ.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of leadership and management qualities with the ability to supervise and lead other employeesKnowledge of water production and treatment methods, wastewater treatment and operations, and lift station operationsKnowledge of latest in water and sanitary sewer maintenance, rehab and repair methodsKnowledge of latest construction activities, equipment, materials and methodsKnowledge of current laws and regulations regarding engineering projectsKnowledge of T.C.E.Q.
