Usher – Event-Based Scheduling$15 hourly
Position Summary: The Orpheum Theater is seeking friendly, reliable Ushers to provide an exceptional guest experience during live events. This is a flexible, event-based role where team members select shifts based on their availability and the theater's event schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a professional and welcoming manner
- Scan tickets and assist with entry
- Escort patrons to their seats and provide directional assistance
- Answer guest questions regarding the venue, seating, and event details
- Monitor assigned areas to ensure guest safety and comfort
- Assist with crowd flow before, during, and after events
- Provide general support to front-of-house operations as needed
Scheduling & Expectations:
- This is a flexible, event-based position; shifts are offered based on event needs
- Team members may accept or decline shifts based on availability
- Once a shift is accepted, attendance is expected and reliability is essential
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is preferred
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate stairs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Prior hospitality or event experience is a plus, but not required
