Akkodis is seeking a User Experience (UX) engineer for a Contract with a client in Omaha, NE (Remote). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing user-centric web applications, creating intuitive interfaces, and modernizing digital experiences using Vue.js, JavaScript, and Laravel technologies.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
User Experience (UX) engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain user-facing web applications and reusable UI components using Vue.js, Vuex/Pinia, JavaScript (ES6), and Laravel (PHP).
Create intuitive, responsive, and accessible user experiences while ensuring compliance with WCAG standards and UX best practices.
Modernize legacy applications by implementing scalable front-end architectures and enhancing application performance, usability, and maintainability.
Collaborate with developers, designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality technical solutions aligned with user needs.
Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure code quality, reliability, and performance.
Develop and support cloud-based applications using AWS and Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG), while leveraging AI productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot to improve development efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in UX Engineering, Front-End Development, or Full Stack Web Application Development.
Strong expertise in Vue.js, Vuex/Pinia, JavaScript (ES6), Laravel (PHP), HTML5, CSS3, and developing scalable, user-focused web applications with a strong emphasis on usability and accessibility (WCAG).
Experience working with AWS and Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG), modern application architectures, code quality best practices, and AI productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot within Agile development environments.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
