Hendrick Automotive Group — the nation's largest privately owned dealer group and a back-to-back winner of Automotive News' Best Dealerships to Work For — is hiring an experienced Used Car Technician. This is a high-volume role built for a skilled tech who can work efficiently across multiple makes and models. If you're ready to step in and perform, the earning potential is there from day one.

Starting at $25/hr — plus a $5/hr night shift premium for qualifying shifts.

Based on our workflow, a qualified tech should step right in and earn $100,000–$110,000 in year one. Don't let the hourly rate tell the whole story — the real opportunity is in your total earnings.

SCHEDULE:

Night shift: 4:00 PM–12:00 AM (preferred) + $5/hr shift premium.

Day shift also available: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Full-time, 5 days per week with rotating Saturdays.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform diagnostic evaluations and repairs across multiple makes and models

Conduct safety inspections and mechanical reconditioning on used vehicle inventory

Complete repairs efficiently to manufacturer and dealership standards

Utilize diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues

Document all services performed accurately and maintain a clean, safe work area

Communicate repair status and recommendations to service advisors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience as an automotive technician — multi-make/model experience strongly preferred.

Strong diagnostic and repair skills across various vehicle systems.

ASE certifications preferred; equivalent dealership experience considered.

Valid Driver's License required.

Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Availability for night shift preferred; day shift also available.
