MISSION
The mission of this position is to contribute to the success of Rusnak Automotive Group (the Company) by providing assistance with vehicle filing continuous inventory inspections, and effectively and efficiently operates as between sales and service departments to work towards achieving the goals of the dealership.
KEY RESULTS AREAS & TASKS
KRA: Serves as an Efficient Liaison between Service Department and Sales Department
- Works with service department and sales manager to coordinate approval of required maintenance.
- Works with service department and sales manager to coordinate approval of required mechanical work.
- Proactively and consistently works with Sales Manager to ensure that revenue targets are met.
- Works with Service and sales department on a weekly and monthly basis to monitor sales profitability to ensure strategic goals are being met.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with Company, local, state and federal regulations that affect used vehicle sales.
- Adheres to established and delivery procedures and ensures that delivery includes an introduction to the Service Department and scheduling of the first service appointment.
- Communicates daily with the Sales Manager regarding units needed for used vehicle inventory
- Works in conjunction with the Service Department: studies classified ads, and all available sources, to find quality, low-mileage used vehicles.
- Preforms continuous inspections of display lot to make sure trash is picked up and areas are in presentable condition for prospective sales clients.
KRA: Effectively and Efficiently Coordinates Inspections, Assessment and Reconditioning of Used Vehicles
- Completes physical evaluation of trade-in or lease return to determine value and profit potential by reviewing components such as paint meter, visual cosmetic inspection of the interior/exterior, determine smoke or other odors present, etc.
- Determine what, if any cosmetic reconditioning will be needed and schedule and/or coordinate arrangements to get work completed.
- Schedule final detailing of vehicle with the detail department.
- Complete final inspection of vehicle and complete front line checklist for vehicle file.
- Recommend retail or wholesale of newly received vehicles.
- Continually monitor status of all used vehicles at various stages of reconditioning to get vehicles to frontline as quickly and efficiently as possible.
KRA: Effectively and Efficiently Coordinates and Maintains Vehicle Filing and Research Process
- Input Prospective trades and/or lease returns in VAuto for evaluation.
- Recommend retail or wholesale of newly received vehicles.
- Print out all necessary documents necessary for creation of vehicle file including appraisal, CarFax, AutoCheck, PPN CPO Checklist, NMVTS, Book sheets, etc. upon purchase of vehicles.
- Complete necessary paperwork for trade-ins and purchased pre-owned vehicles to start safety checks and/or certified pre-owned inspection process
- Affix all necessary and/or legally required stickers and notifications to vehicles to start safety checks and/or certified pre-owned inspection process.
- Works with Pre-Owned Vehicle Coordinator to ensure all documentation and research is completed with a timely manner.

- Maintains a strong “Client-Centric vision and utilizes “The Rusnak Standard,” best core practices, as well as professional and exemplary service to provide every internal and external Client with an extraordinary experience during every encounter.

Education, licenses, certification, and/or essential qualifications
- Sales License required.
- Required: Current California Driver License with satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle driving record
- Previous experience in pre-owned vehicle reconditioning preferred.
