Project Management Manager IPHILADELPHIA, PA 1910312 Months - Contract
About the Role
Leads integrated, end-to-end testing and quality engineering for the Labor IQ workforce management transformation. Establishes the program test operating model; coordinates accountable delivery across Labor Management IT, UKG, Test Assure, Payroll, Human Resources, business, and technical teams; and provides objective evidence of solution quality, payroll accuracy, business acceptance, residual risk, and deployment readiness.
Provides program-level leadership for quality strategy, test governance, execution assurance, automation, defect management, evidence, and readiness decisions across complex enterprise technology implementations. Applies risk-based testing, modern quality-engineering practices, responsible AI, and cross-functional leadership while preserving execution accountability with the teams designated in the approved program RACI.
Summary:
This contractor role, with potential for future conversion to an Aramark employee position, leads end-to-end testing and quality engineering across the LaborIQ program. The role translates the approved test strategy into executable plans and provides integrated governance across Unit/Configuration Validation, Migration Validation, QA/Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Payroll Compare, regression, deployment validation, and test completion. The Lead achieves these outcomes by directing dedicated testing resources and integrating the work of accountable teams, business testers, Payroll, UKG, TestAssure, and other delivery partners rather than personally executing every testing activity. The role provides the formal testing recommendation into the Operational Readiness Review; designated program and business leadership retain authority for acceptance of material residual risk and production deployment.
We are seeking a Program Quality Engineering Lead to support LaborIQ, Aramark's global workforce management transformation.
This individual will provide program-level leadership for end-to-end testing and quality engineering across our UKG Pro WFM implementation. The role will establish the integrated testing approach and coordinate execution across Aramark business and technical teams, UKG, TestAssure, Payroll, Human Resources, and other delivery partners. Key areas include functional testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, payroll validation, data migration, regression testing, defect management, automation, and deployment readiness.
We are looking for a senior quality engineering or test management leader with:
• 8+ years of experience leading complex enterprise testing programs
• Recent workforce management, time and attendance, or payroll-impacting implementation experience
• Strong experience with risk-based testing, test automation, defect management, evidence, and executive reporting
• Experience leading internal teams, business testers, software vendors, and implementation partners
• Direct UKG Pro WFM or Kronos experience, strongly preferred
• Test Assure and AI-enabled testing experience, preferred
Qualification:
End-to-End Test Leadership and Governance
- Own the integrated LaborIQ test strategy, master test plan, cycle plans, schedule, resources, entry and exit criteria, and evidence standards.
- Lead program-wide testing governance and assurance across Unit/Configuration Validation, Migration Validation, QA/Functional Testing, SIT, UAT, Payroll Compare, regression, and deployment validation, holding execution teams accountable under the approved RACI.
- Run Test Readiness and Exit Reviews, quality gates, and escalation paths; maintain requirements-to-test-to-defect traceability and an audit-ready evidence package.
UKG Pro WFM and Business-Outcome Validation - Lead quality assurance for UKG Pro WFM timekeeping, scheduling, accruals, pay rules, workflows, security, reporting, integrations, converted data, and payroll-impacting outputs.
- Ensure risk-based coverage of positive, negative, exception, boundary, persona, payroll-critical, and end-to-end scenarios, including country-specific localization, statutory, and payroll requirements.
Test Assure Partnership, Automation, and AI
- Serve as Aramark's accountable testing leader for the TestAssure partnership, including onboarding, platform setup, automation priorities, service performance, and deliverables.
- Partner with TestAssure to build and maintain reusable automated assets for functional testing, payroll comparison, retesting, and regression; govern the boundary between automated and manual testing.
- Establish automated-failure triage that separates true defects from script, test-data, environment, or integration issues.
Apply approved AI-assisted testing techniques with responsible AI controls for privacy, security, human validation, and evidence retention.
Test Data, Environments, and Technical Assurance
- Govern the integrated test-data strategy, including representative personas, synthetic or protected data, payroll-period scenarios, and refresh controls.
- Govern test-environment readiness with technical and vendor teams, including configuration baselines, release controls, access, integrations, and change impacts.
- Ensure separately owned performance, security, device, disaster-recovery, and other nonfunctional testing have defined plans, evidence, and readiness inputs.
- Defect, Evidence, Analytics, and Readiness Management
- Own integrated defect management from intake and triage through retesting, closure, deferral, and residual-risk documentation, including the flow of confirmed TestAssure failures into Open Project.
- Use quality analytics and concise executive reporting to surface coverage gaps, defect trends, payroll variances, automation progress, residual risk, and decisions required.
- Provide the formal testing recommendation into the Operational Readiness Review; designated program and business leadership retain final risk acceptance and deployment authority.
Team, Vendor, and Stakeholder Leadership
- Direct dedicated testing resources and matrixed team members with clear outcomes, decision rights, and accountability.
- Coach testers and subject-matter experts in risk-based test design, evidence quality, defect documentation, TestAssure, automation, and responsible AI.
- Manage vendor and internal dependencies, surface capacity constraints early, and drive recovery plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in quality engineering, test management, enterprise application delivery, or large-scale transformation, including leadership of complex, multi-workstream testing programs.
- Demonstrated accountability for end-to-end test strategy and governance across functional testing, SIT, UAT, regression, data-migration validation, payroll or financial reconciliation, deployment validation, and production-readiness governance.
- Recent hands-on leadership experience testing a complex workforce-management, time-and-attendance, or payroll-impacting platform, with demonstrated knowledge of pay rules, timekeeping, scheduling, accruals, security, integrations, data, and payroll outputs.
- Demonstrated experience with risk-based testing, requirements traceability, test-data management, environment readiness, entry and exit criteria, evidence retention, defect lifecycle management, regression strategy, and readiness decision support.
- Experience leading dedicated and matrixed resources while coordinating implementation partners, software vendors, business testers, Payroll, and technical teams across concurrent releases or deployment waves.
- Experience establishing test automation strategy, reusable regression design, execution governance, failure triage, and integration of automated testing into the broader delivery lifecycle.
- Experience applying test automation, analytics, or technology-enabled quality practices to improve coverage, efficiency, repeatability, and decision support.
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, vendor-management, and analytical skills, with the ability to convert complex quality data into clear business risk and readiness recommendations.
- Ability to lead distributed teams, operate across time zones, manage ambiguity, and balance program urgency with appropriate quality and risk controls.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- Direct UKG Pro WFM or Kronos Workforce Central implementation, migration, upgrade, or testing experience.
- Hands-on experience with TestAssure in a UKG Pro WFM implementation, migration, upgrade, or major release, including test-suite design, automation, execution, diagnostic review, evidence, and reporting.
- Practical experience applying generative AI or AI-enabled testing capabilities with human validation, data protection, and governance controls.
- Experience supporting global implementations across the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe, including localization, time-zone coordination, and country-specific requirements.
- Experience with API and data-validation tools and techniques, SQL, CI/CD pipelines, test-management platforms, defect repositories, and executive quality dashboards.
- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, ISTQB AI Testing, CSQA/CSTE, PMP, SAFe, or UKG credentials.
