The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project costs throughout the geothermal drilling campaign. This role ensures accurate cost tracking, forecasting, project schedule integration, and reporting to support project objectives and budget compliance. The Cost Controller works closely with project management, drilling teams, procurement, and finance to identify cost variances, assess financial risks, and recommend corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control project expenditures against approved budgets.
Prepare cost reports, forecasts, cash flow projections, and earned value metrics.
Track drilling, equipment, contractor, and material costs.
Analyze budget and schedule variances and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
Support project planning, scheduling, and progress measurement activities.
Develop and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and project performance analysis.
Coordinate with project managers to integrate cost and schedule information for management reporting.
Support change management and evaluate cost impacts of scope changes.
Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
Maintain cost control systems and project financial records.
