Pay/Schedule: $35.00 - $40.00/hour (depending on experience) | Monday - Friday, standard business hours | Onsite preferred; some remote flexibility available | Weekly pay every Friday
We are seeking experienced Sourcing Specialists to manage direct materials procurement at an artificial lift equipment manufacturing facility in Claremore, OK. Due to a heavy open order book and projected growth, this team is adding two positions focused on PO management, supplier expediting, and shortage resolution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will place and follow up on purchase orders, manage supplier relationships for PO execution, proactively identify and communicate shortages, drive solutions, and support special projects focused on process improvement and supply continuity. This position requires a self-starter who can operate independently and manage a high volume of orders without constant direction. Spanish speaking a plus. 2 positions available.
Key Responsibilities
- Place, manage, and expedite purchase orders for direct manufacturing materials, proactively identifying shortages before they impact production and driving suppliers to meet delivery commitments
- Manage supplier relationships for PO execution, address schedule changes, and develop contingency plans when suppliers miss delivery dates
- Communicate order status, shortage risks, and recovery plans clearly to suppliers, manufacturing, planning, logistics, engineering, and sourcing teams
- Maintain accurate PO, supplier, and ERP data in SAP throughout the purchasing cycle
- Support special projects related to outside processing, PO process improvement, and supply continuity initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 4 or more years of sourcing and procurement experience required
- Experience with direct materials in a manufacturing environment including expediting and shortage management required
- SAP purchasing and materials management experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; high school diploma or GED with equivalent sourcing experience considered
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Outside processing experience a plus
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Spanish speaking a plus but not required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
