USA|Maintenance Technician - General 1

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and maintenance services, is seeking a USA|Maintenance Technician - General 1 to join their team. As a USA|Maintenance Technician - General 1, you will be part of the Maintenance department supporting the operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: USA|Maintenance Technician - General 1

Location: Fort Madison, IA

Pay Range: $29

Shift: 2:10pm - 10:30pm

What's the Job?

• Perform installation, repairs, preventive maintenance, and alterations to complex machinery, machine tools, lifting equipment, and fixtures.
• Record all required data of repairs and installations accurately and timely.
• Interpret and implement corrective actions from prints, drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Perform mechanical construction work as required, including fabrication, welding, and brazing.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years experience repairing machine tool equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and sit, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
