We are seeking a hands-on Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to design, automate, and support containerized application deployments. The role will focus on deployment automation, container platform management, certificate lifecycle automation, CI/CD implementation, and operational excellence to reduce manual effort and improve deployment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement automated deployment pipelines for containerized applications.
Setting up and managing environments with Podman, Flight Control (or a similar tool compatible with Podman), and Venafi (or a similar certificate management tool compatible with Podman).
Automate application deployment, image management, and release processes.
Implement certificate lifecycle management, renewal, and deployment automation.
Develop deployment runbooks, operational procedures, and knowledge documentation.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to streamline platform operations.
Troubleshoot deployment, container, and platform-related issues.
Establish scalable deployment frameworks that can be replicated across multiple environments and fleets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate manual processes and reduce operational risk.
Required Skills:
Strong Linux/Unix Administration
Podman and/or Docker Container Management
Flight Control or similar tool compatible with Podman
Venafi or similar certificate management tool compatible with Podman).
CI/CD Pipeline Development (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab)
Shell Scripting (Bash) and/or Python Automation
SSL/TLS Certificate Management and PKI Concepts
Git Version Control
