Job Description
- Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders for metrology equipment calibrations, calibration standards, tooling, consumables, services, etc
- Occasional drafting of technical formal customer reports
- Obtain and compare vendor quotations and negotiate pricing when appropriate.
- Track open orders and expedite deliveries to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations when needed
- Maintain department records, files, and documentation in accordance with company procedures and quality standards
- Collaborate with equipment owners to manage equipment status
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Technical Knowledge Areas
- Electrical calibration equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, process calibrators, etc.)
- Dimensional measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, gauge blocks, CMMs, etc.)
- Quality management systems and calibration traceability requirements
- Asset management and calibration software systems
Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting of materials and equipment up to 35 pounds
- Ability to move throughout laboratory and manufacturing areas as required
