We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Lead - Playwright to drive enterprise-scale test automation initiatives and lead QA automation strategy across complex applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Playwright, modern test automation frameworks, and end-to-end quality engineering practices. You will be responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks, mentoring QA engineers, and ensuring high-quality software delivery across web platforms. The role requires strong hands-on coding ability, excellent analytical thinking, and the ability to influence automation best practices organization wide. You should have proven experience implementing and scaling Playwright automation in enterprise environments with CI/CD integration. The candidate must possess strong knowledge of UI, API, regression, integration, and cross-browser testing methodologies. Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, test framework architecture, and automation design patterns is essential. Experience integrating Playwright with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker, and reporting frameworks is highly preferred. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to ensure release quality and testing efficiency. The role demands excellent debugging, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced Agile environments. Candidates should be comfortable reviewing code, defining QA standards, and leading automation strategy discussions with technical leadership teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience building reusable automation utilities, improving test stability, and reducing execution time across large test suites is required. Knowledge of performance testing, API automation, test data management, and cloud-based test execution platforms will be an added advantage. The ideal candidate should demonstrate leadership qualities, ownership mindset, logical reasoning skills, and a passion for continuous improvement in software quality engineering. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field with significant experience in enterprise automation testing environments preferred. Experience working in Utility industry
