Job Description

Job SummaryThe Patient Care Assistant II (PCA II) provides direct patient care and support under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for inpatient services. This role focuses on assisting patients with activities of daily living, maintaining unit readiness, and contributing to a positive patient experience.Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant Certification

• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and assessment skills necessary to communicate, educate, and provide a therapeutic and safe environment for the specific developmental age groups served between birth and 21 years of age

• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to assure completion of patient care activities

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pediatrics/orthopedics

• Bilingual English/Spanish

• Two years of hospital experience
