Electronic Lab Technician I

Pay Rate: $26 per hour

Summary:

• 1st Shift - 7am - 3:30pm (M to F) *OT based on business needs

Responsibilities:

• Conduct various electrical tests in accordance with UL, CSA, IEC, and NEMA standards for electrical distribution products.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable IEC, UL, and NEMA testing standards.
• Record accurate test data on standardized forms for delivery to the project engineer.
• Assist in the repair and replacement of test fixtures and maintain an active list of test fixtures.
• Contribute to organizing and maintaining a lab 5S environment to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of safety requirements.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously to increase lab efficiency and provide timely test results.
• Share knowledge with other technicians to improve the technician pool’s core knowledge and capabilities.
• Complete additional assignments or tasks requested by the manager.
• Conduct pre and post calibrations, run dielectric/thermal testing, circuit configurations, and vibration testing.

Requirements:

• Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• An associate degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Technology from an accredited institution is required.
• Minimum 1 year of related technical experience.
• Electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and software aptitude is required.

Preferred Skills:

• Detailed skill in the use of computers for test documentation and analysis is required.
